Young Gloves Covid Update
Covid 19 Update
Finally some good news for us. I can happy announce that Young Gloves training can restart as from September.
This includes Karate, Boxercise and Bojitsu for adults and children.
The government has announced that next month indoor activities will be allowed. This is truly great news for all of us who have missed training and want to get back to it asap.
Due to most of our venues being at schools, September is the earliest we can realistically return due to many reasons.
Everyone’s safety will be of the highest priority so there will be changes to how the club runs.
I will be letting everyone all of these details asap.
My long term plan is to get the club back as it was before lock down, however from Sept. we will be training Mon, Tues, Thurs and maybe Fri. The venue will be Birchen Coppice School Kidderminster ONLY until we can get the others reestablished.
The classes will be limited to a max of 15 people and a booking in system will be put into place.
Payment for classes will be in advanced online securing your place. This is to safe guard the clubs expenses as well as making sure that all members get a lesson place.
Parents will not be permitted to watch classes, there will be a one way system in place with social distancing and hygiene put into practice.
I’m planning for a grading in Sept too for all the members that are ready for this again details to follow.
Can I take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience and continued support over the last few months.
Our Weds, online zoom classes have been a real highlight of the week for me as to have the Sat. night quizzes.
Young Gloves is all about our students and feeling like an extended family. I have personally missed everyone greatly and have a lot of great things planned for the club – we have so much to be grateful for and excited about.
Online Zoom Classes
To keep us going until Sept. lessons are being run on Weds. evenings from 6.00pm they are only £2.00 which helps to support the club and keeps general karate knowledge fresh.
I have personally invested in a lot of new equipment and pride myself on the standard and quality of these virtual sessions.
Every Sat 7.00 – 8.00pm night I have been hosting fun family quizzes. I must admit this was a challenge to me at first, but with practice these quizzes have now really developed into a really fun night.
Again details are on our website and literally everyone is welcome to have a go.
Lastly can I say a big thank you to all our Team Leaders and Junior Instructors who have supported and helped each week through these very tough times. Really appreciate the help guys 🙂
Young Gloves will no doubt continue to be an amazing successful club and one that I’m very proud to be part of.
The club started 20 years ago and has achieved so much, but with the help and support from such amazing students, parents and friends I know that our greatest moments are ahead of us.
The future is very bright guys 🙂
