Black
Belt Grading 2010
20
Nov 2010 saw 4 more students from Young Gloves Karate successfully
become 1st Dan Black Belts.
Yasmin White, Sophie Owers, Mollie Howell Morgan, and Charlotte
Priest all performed extremely well under a immense pressure for
well over 2 hours.
All students had to perform all of the black belt syllabus including
Japanese techniques learnt from memory, all Katas, and self defense
techniques.
The grading was very demanding both physically and mentally, which
took its toll on all the students with them really having to dig
down into their reserves to complete the test.
All students have trained 3 times per week in the last 12 months
showing the way for the 1st Kyu's that also attended the grading
just what is expected in terms of commitment and standard needed
to achieve such a high level qualification, and one that counts
so highly in life.
All four students can be very proud of themselves and are now
looking to the future to develop their karate further within Young
Gloves.
May I say a big thank you to all the other Young Gloves Black
Belts that came to offer their support on the day.
